NBA 2K23 Season 7 Mascots and Rewards Review

May-28-2023

Hey, basketball fans! Discuss the exciting Season 7 of NBA 2K23. I've already reached Level 40, unlocking all the rewards, so I'm here to give you an exclusive look at the mascots and rewards this season. Whether you've hit Level 40 or not, I've got you covered. So, let's dive in!

Affiliation Mascots

This season, we have a range of affiliation mascots and NBA mascots. Let's start with the affiliation mascots. Out of the four available, my personal favorite is the Viper mascot. It has a slick design that stands out. The other three mascots have also received some updates. The Philly mascot has been slightly modified, while the new Bucks mascot looks a bit odd compared to its previous version. The iconic Benny the Bull mascot for the Chicago Bulls remains a classic and has not been altered. It's always a win in my book.

NBA Mascots

Moving on to the NBA mascots, we have an interesting lineup. Let's start with the Clippers mascot, which has a unique design but may not be everyone's cup of tea. It seems more suited for center players focused on grabbing boards. On the other hand, we have what I consider the ugliest mascot in the game—the Grizzlies mascot. It looks like a mop, and I can't find any redeeming qualities in its appearance.

However, there are some standout mascots worth mentioning. Harry the Hawk is perfect for dribble-focused players, and the Miami mascot is ideal for those looking to dominate the boards. One mascot that caught my attention is Hugo, the Hornet's mascot, who stands out due to his size. If you want a mascot with some "junk in the trunk," Hugo is your guy.

Moving on, the Jazz Bear mascot is often associated with players who grind endlessly. If you see someone wearing this mascot, chances are they're grinding hard. Unfortunately, the Kings mascot hasn't received much love over the years and remains unchanged. The Orlando mascot is a wizard of some sort, and I'm still unsure about the animal it represents. The Dallas mascot has seen some minor updates but retains its original look.

We can't forget the ever-popular Rocky mascot, which is perfect for players who want to be unique on the court. It exudes a strong, linebacker-like presence. The Pacer's mascot hasn't received much attention, and the Pelicans' mascot, Pierre, could have been better designed.

The Detroit mascot has a decent design, but the real winner is the revamped Raptors mascot. It now features different colored kicks, which adds some style to its appearance. However, wearing the Raptors mascot does make you slightly smaller in the game. It's an interesting trade-off between size and style.

For dribble enthusiasts, the Coyote mascot is a great choice, while the Gorilla mascot has remained a fan favorite for years. It never fails to impress on the court. The Timberwolves mascot, unfortunately, falls into the top three ugliest mascots category, resembling a possum more than a wolf. Its appearance could definitely use some improvement.

Lastly, we have the Trail Blazers mascot, which is my personal favorite. Its design has always been a top choice for me. It's a mascot that stands out on the court and signifies a sure victory.

Season Rewards

Now let's take a look at the Season 7 rewards. As you progress through the levels, you'll unlock various items, including shirts, jerseys, banners, emotes, and packs for your My Team. At Level 25, you'll receive new banners, and at Level 30, you'll unlock the affiliation mascots, a highly anticipated reward. Level 35 rewards you with double SP tokens, while Level 36 grants you a Nassau racing suit. At Level 38, you'll earn a badge point, and the ultimate reward awaits at Level 40—the mascots themselves.

Swag Store

Now let's head to the Swag Store to see what's available this season. Unfortunately, the selection appears somewhat underwhelming. The prices seem a bit high for what's being offered. A couple of vests and jackets are available, including a military-style jacket for a hefty price of 15K. Additionally, an animated helmet is available for 30K. Let me know in the comments if you think this season's Swag Store items are worth the price.

NBA 2K23 Season 7 introduces an array of affiliation mascots and NBA mascots. While some mascots have received updates, others remain unchanged or could benefit from further improvements. The rewards throughout the season are decent, and reaching Level 40 grants you the highly sought-after mascots. However, the Swag Store selection this season may leave some players feeling underwhelmed.
